    BodyTalk

A simple and effective form of therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so that they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, these lines of communication become compromised, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental health. Reconnecting these lines of communication then enables the body's mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus preventing disease and rapidly accelerating the healing process. BodyTalk can be used as a stand-alone system to treat many health problems, or seamlessly integrated into any health care system to increase its effectiveness and promote faster healing. Radionics

System of alternative medicine developed by Dr Albert Abrams, who believed that diseased body tissue affected the nervous system and gave forth 'dull emanations'. Abrams believed electronic phenomena were involved with this, and he invented a variable resistance instrument called a 'black box' to measure the ohm resistance of different diseases on an electronic circuit. He found for example, that cancer produced a 50 ohm resistance, while syphilis had a 55 ohm resistance. Abrams later modified his technique so he could take readings from a drop of blood. In 1924 a committee established by the Royal Society of Medicine investigated Abrams techniques and were favourably impressed. Today Radionics and its cousin Radiesthesia (medical dowsing) are recognised in Europe as legitimate medical procedures.

Developed in 1978 by Bill Williams, Ph.D, one of the first students of Ida Rolf, this therapy refined Rolf's work by creating easier, less intrusive ways of working with the fascia and muscles. This ten-session process, which incorporates movement training and awareness tools as well as massage and manipulation, also seeks to promote greater access to the functioning of each hemisphere of the brain.

    Sound Healing

There is scientific proof that the human body is made up of atoms, molecules cells, glands and organs that all have a characteristic vibrational frequency that absorbs and emits sound. The techniques of Sound Healing work on the premise that, since sound is also a vibration, by listening to certain sounds, you can affect the vibration of your body and brain in a positive way. Tai Chi

Originating from the martial arts, Tai Chi is an exercise consisting of graceful and deliberate sequences movements meant for relaxation and stress...moving meditation.. Tai represents a culture of eastern people and Chi represents life vitality or spirit energy.
The practice of Tai Chi promotes the circulation of chi or life energy within the body, encouraging wellness and vitality of the person. Tai Chi benefits both genders and people of all ages.
Early mornings in Beijing and other cities and providences throughout China small and larger groups alike routinely gather wherever there is available open space to practice their Tai Chi or meditation in motion. Observing from the sidelines at first it might appear that they are insync with one another (and most likely on a cosmic scale their energies are merging), but in taking a closer look each exerciser is very much self absorbed into the art of inner meditation and are actually oblivious of the actions of their neighboring meditators. Similar scenes are popping up in the West in our city parks, college campuses, and grassy lawns.
Tai Chi is an exercise that exerts no strenuous action, there are no jumps, no aerobics, no running. The feet always rooted within the earth, the torso and arms making graceful, deliberate, and sequenced movements take on the form of physical poetry. Although many of these movements were originally derived from the martial arts, this art form has developed into an exercise meant for relaxation and reduction of stress.
Instruction of Tai Chi is available in most communities. Check your local yellow pages, YMCA - YWCA, health/fitness centers, and hospitals to find out your class options beginners, advanced, seniors, children, etc. I recommend having a personal trainer or classroom instructor to learn the basic movements. However, if this is not possible due to schedule restrictions or unavailability, instruction videos are another option to consider.

    Thai Massage

Thai massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. This ancient form of massage dates back to the time of Buddha and looks like a cross between Shiatsu, Acupressure, and Yoga. Practitioners apply pressure along meridian lines with their thumbs, hands, and feet to stimulate the movement of energy in the body, and in addition, move and stretch their clients in Yoga-like poses to free muscular and joint tension. Designed to be both relaxing and stimulating, Thai massage improves flexibility, reduces tension, stimulates internal organs, and balances the body's energy system.

    Therapeutic Touch

A contemporary interpretation of several ancient healing practices, therapeutic touch consists of learned skills for consciously directing or modulating human energies by the laying on of hands above the body and moving the hands over the body without actual contact , with the intent of working the energy field surrounding the body.

    Toning

All of creation is energy, which vibrates according to varying frequencies. Our physical bodies are no exception, and which also responds to the appropriate sounds that can help you to regain balance, good health and emotional stability. The ancients knew of this and we can see from the chanting of Sama Veda from India, the Tibetan Chants, Gregorian Chants, and many more instances of the healing virtues of sound. Toning by musical instruments, such as the drum, as is used by the Native Americans and Africans, exemplifies the tradition and value of music and /or individualized musical notes. The human voice has a tremendous range and capability as illustrated by the Overtones of the Tibetan monks. The appropriate tone allows the mind, body and spirit to harmonize and be in balance.

    Touch For Health

Touch for Health is a system of energy balancing using muscle testing, touch and acupressure massage to correct various physical and emotional imbalances, stresses, and tension. Based on the applied kinesiology principles of chiropractor George Goodheart, Touch for Health was popularized by John Thie, D.C. in his book by the same name written in 1973. He showed how muscle testing can reveal weaknesses even before symptoms manifest and how by pressing reflex points, it is possible to rebalance the body and the affected organs.

    Trager

Another form of bodywork, this approach emphasizes mind-to-muscle contact between practitioner and client. The work is composed mostly of jostling, rocking, and passive ranges of motion.

    Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

The delivery of an electric current through the skin to the nerves. Used in physical therapy and to relieve painful conditions such as neuralgia, sciatica, and arthritis. The low voltage electric current blocks the nerves reception of pain signals and possibly stimulates the production of endorphins, the body's pain-killing chemicals.

If you are visually imaginative or a daydreamer you already have the tools to use visualization as a means to create positive and healing mental images. Visualization is often used simultaneously with meditation to create a calming and relaxing atmosphere. A therapist will help clients who experience difficulty on their own with this process by reading guided imagery scripts in a soft voice while the person is laying down or reclining in a quiet room. There are also a vast variety of CDs on the market that do the job of the therapist. Turn on the stereo and let yourself be taken away to a place of contentment.

White light is the space within the universe where positive energies are stored. White light can be called upon by anyone (healers, empaths, and you too!) for protection from negative energies or wonky vibrations. White light cannot come to harm or be harmed in anyway. For this reason, negative or dirty energies can be sent to the white light for purification and transformation. For example, after cleaning your aura, you can request that the impurities you combed out of your auric field be sent to the white light for cleansing.
